Nga Blanchard is a Vietnam-born entrepreneur who has been based in New Zealand since 2003, known for her dynamic career spanning fashion design, international education, and cross-border business development.
She began her entrepreneurial journey after earning top academic recognition for her thesis on foreign investment in Vietnam’s stock market. Nga quickly made her mark in New Zealand’s retail sector, launching and selling her first business within just 15 months. She later founded the Louie-Thomas brand, which was distributed through more than 300 retail stores nationwide, with products featured in major fashion and homeware magazines across New Zealand.
Transitioning into international education, Nga established NZiFOCUS, a high-performing education agency recognised by Education New Zealand, Immigration New Zealand, and leading institutions across both countries. NZiFOCUS connects students and institutions throughout Southeast Asia and New Zealand, enabling impactful global education pathways.
As the Business Partner for PIHMS (Pacific International Hotel Management School) in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos, Nga leads high level strategic partnerships to develop joint training programs, student recruitment pathways, and hospitality workforce development initiatives.
She also serves on the Leadership Team of the ASEAN New Zealand Business Council (ANZBC), a well-connected organisation with businesses and government agencies across the ASEAN–NZ. Through this role, Nga plays an active part in strengthening bilateral economic and cultural ties.
Nga has been chosen as keynote speaker for both educational institutions and business communities in Vietnam and New Zealand, where she regularly shares her insights on entrepreneurship, international collaboration, and human capital development.
Currently, she is designing a Human Skills Development Program—a future-focused initiative aimed at equipping young people with essential human skills, entrepreneurial mindsets, and global competencies to thrive in a fast-changing world.
